Almost everybody likes to cook. That's because cooking is not an activity that should be done for having what to eat but it can also relax you. Besides that, cooking with your friends can be really enjoyable. But to be able to cook, you usually need a recipe or a cookbook. That's because improvising cannot guarantee great results. Using a classical cookbook can be sometimes frustrating, because it can take a lot of time to find a certain dish or to follow the steps required to cook a type of food. The computer can help you in this matter and, to be more precise, CookDiary.

This is a Windows application that allows you to store any type of recipe, together with pictures, ingredients, cooking instructions and other types of information. Using the program, you will be able to quickly find a dish that you are looking for. The application is simple to install and very simple to use thanks to its attractive graphical interface.

When the user launches the program, he will see two sample recipes available. He can modify them or he can easily create a new one from scratch. Creating a new recipe involves adding a photo of the meal, together with its name, description, list of ingredients and cooking instructions.

Having added all this information, pushing the Cook button will display the instructions, one after another, in their normal order. By following the instructions presented in this form, one will be able to cook much easier than following a regular cookbook.

Besides adding dishes, CookDiary also allows creating various types of menus, which is great for people who keep a close diet or for restaurants that would like to offer complete meals at promotional prices. For being easier to find a certain meal, each of them can be added to a certain category. For example, the user can organize all his meals according to the country of origin.

Pros

It allows adding an unlimited number of recipes to the program, each containing its own photo, country flag, list of ingredients and cooking instructions. Besides that, the user can easily follow the cooking instructions, displayed using a large font, helping him cook faster than using a regular cookbook. Furthermore, one can create various types of menus for any occasion, for example, weddings or diets.

Cons

The program needs some time to allow a user to get used to the interface. CookDiary is the best way of keeping all your cooking recipes close, allowing you to cook them easier than ever.
